A superhero of the vegetable kingdom Broccoli has high levels of vitamins C, K and A as well as being high in potassium, iron and fibre (to name but a few).

Slightly bitter on the tastebuds, broccoli often requires some help to get the children to eat it.

Broccoli can be eaten raw with dips, steamed, stir fried and made into soups.

Other vegetables in the brassica family can be substituted for broccoli such as cabbage, cauliflower and brussel sprouts.

Store in a plastic bag in the refridgerator. Try to use within 5 days.
